This restored 18th-century inn, encompassing nine comfortable lodgings, is set on a dramatic promontory above Lahinch Bay, a short drive from the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, the haunting landscape of the Burren and the renowned Lahinch and Greg Norman’s challenging Doonbeg golf links. The hotel’s especially atmospheric library and traditional drawing room with a turf fire complement a homey lounge containing an honor bar. In the candlelit conservatory restaurant, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the rugged landscape, local ingredients and fresh seafood are the primary highlights of the daily-changing six-course menu. The property’s staff are unpretentious and hospitable and happy to book private yoga classes, spa treatments and horseback-riding excursions for guests. Note that the inn is closed from October to April.
